Why I am Running
I’m running for the North Carolina Senate because our communities deserve more than survival—they deserve
to thrive. As a father, pastor, and former legislator, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when people are
overlooked by Raleigh and underserved by systems meant to protect them.
My life’s work—whether in the pulpit or at the policy table—has been to lift voices, build bridges, and fight for
justice. During my time in the General Assembly, I helped pass bipartisan legislation on education, healthcare,
criminal justice reform, and economic development. Now I’m ready to finish what we started.
I believe our faith should fuel public good. Our churches, schools, and neighborhoods should be places of
opportunity. And every child—whether in Franklin, Nash, or Vance County—should grow up with access to
quality education, good healthcare, and a safe place to live
- Accessible – Regular town halls in all three counties
- Accountable – Public reports on every vote
- Active – Present in communities, not just Raleigh
- Authentic – The same person in office as in the pulpit
A Different Kind of Leadership
Too often, politics divides us into camps, reduces complex issues to sound bites, and forgets the human faces behind policies. I offer something different.
My Commitment to You
I believe our faith should fuel public good. Our churches, schools, and neighborhoods should be places of
opportunity.
I Will Fight For:
- Economic opportunity for every family.
- Healthcare as a human right.
- Education that unlocks potential.
- Justice that heals communities.
- Infrastructure that connects us all.
- Food security for every household.
- Housing that families can afford.
I Will Be:
- Accessible – Regular town halls in all three counties.
- Accountable – Public reports on every vote.
- Active – Present in communities, not just Raleigh.
- Authentic – The same person in office as in the pulpit.
